YOUNETPO begins awareness activities under the Inform Women Transform Lives Campaign in Monrovia. This global campaign is being implemented across 16 cities worldwide and it's basically focused on increasing women's access to information.
YOUNETPO is complementing the efforts of the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC-lead champion) to increase women's access to municipal government information relating to waste management services. YOUNETPO is currently conducting weekly awareness raising activities until the end of August 2022 via mega phones through trained town criers in three targeted markets; Rally Town, Clara Town and West Point markets. With funding support from the Carter Center, Youth Network for Positive Change (YOUNETPO) is also economically empowering a women’s group to establish and register as a waste management CBO as part of the project activities.
