YOUNETPO Executive Director - Amb. Leo E. Tiah participated in the Anglophone Africa CS & CG Regional Meeting organized by EANNASO at the Madinat Al Bahr Hotel & Spa located in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The meeting which lasted for 3 days (December 7-9, 2022) was centered on strategies for strengthening the engagement of Civil Society and Community Groups on how to accelerate the implementation and adoption of funds in active Global Fund Funding Model 3 grants and the upcoming Global Fund New Funding Model 4 grant cycle. The meeting was organized by EANNASO. YOUNETPO has been awarded a grant by Global Fund through EANNASO to begin implementation of a Technical Request as part of the NFM4 processes in Liberia (see picture above).
YOUNETPO concludes activities under the Empowering Girls for the Future Project (EGFF) - funding from Plan International through the Youth Challenge Fund supported YOUNETPO to conduct leadership trainings for a total of 100 adolescent girls, established 10 girls club within 10 schools and identify 10 mentors for the 10 girls clubs within Montserrado County (see picture above).
Youth Empowerment Program (YEP)- YOUNETPO held a one day stakeholder meeting on December 20, 2022 . The meeting which was held at YOUNETPO office in Congo Town was centered on creating awareness of the program to key stakeholders in the civil society sector to mobilize institutions support. The Youth Empowerment Program seeks to empower 50 youth with basic job readiness skills to face the job market as potential candidates; reduce unemployment among youth and enhance partnership and collaboration amongst CSOs, CBOs, GoL and Businesses to reduce unemployment. YOUNETPO is expected to launch the YEP program in Mid January 2023 (see picture above).
